Local sponsorship in Korea - An Dae Gi of Kevin bicycle shop, Gangneung

SPONSORSHIP: THANK YOU

I am so thankful for the amazing support, equipment, tools and workshop space offered by my friend and owner/operator and mechanic at Kevin Bicycles in Gangneung City (Ponam 2 dong) who has been supporting the HimalayasX Expedition preparation here in Korea. I have the amazingly strong 1994 Kona Explosif with a build straight out of An Dae Gi's workshop -complete high-end Shimano XT rim brakes, Mavic Crossland SUP tubeless wheelsets (converted to tubeless) and the frame is the core, a light weight Columbus MAX OR steel alloy. We've been tweaking the setup recently, adding Hayes Hydraulic brakes calipers inverted and front wheel rotor for twice the punch on decelerating in the Himalayas (it might be all climbing, but I am still optimistic -up or down- prepared for it). The start of the HimalayasX has been chosen in western China (Tibet autonomous region to be correct), and the route will follow the Tibetan Plateau southeast across the Taklamakan Desert and the Himalayas. I just want to give a big THANK YOU to my favorite bike friend in Gangneung, and thanks An Dae Gi  (Phone 010.6737.8880 for bicycle support, maintenance and equipment in Gangneung, Gangwon-do Province of northeastern Korea).
